Error Message: Policy 43: Punctuation and symbols

Error message

This error message can occur if, for example, one of the three headlines in the ad uses characters  that Google does not allow.

The template for this is located in the ad template: “ Settings ” → “ Configure Google Ads ”

Check that one of the headings previews your domain with the bold characters as follows : http://www.shopstory.ai/

These characters will be considered an error by Google and you will get the error related to Policy 43.

There are 2 possible solutions here

1. Adjust domain:

Under " Settings " you can enter your domain. These simply as described in the template without https://www . register.

This is necessary because by default this field is used for the placeholder " {{project.domain}}"  in Heading 3 .

❌ Wrong: http:// www. shopstory.ai /  →

✅ That's right:   shopstory.ai

2. Check headline:

For example, you might use a character like a slash " / " or a bracket " " in one of the headings. If that's the case, that might also be the reason for the error message.

If the error message comes up , in this case it is unfortunately not enough to edit the ad directly, but you have to cancel it → go to the " Advertising " tab adjust  it there and then place the advert again.
